For those racers looking for the last bit of weight savings, you
can put a manual rack in instead of the power steering one. This will
allow you to remove the power steering pump, bracket, fluid resevoir, and
hoses. Total weight savings is around 15 pounds off the front of the car.
The manual steering rack can be purchased for around $324.
The lower joint assembly can be purchased for around $100.
